Dr. D’Ortenzio has conscientiously provided his optometric services to the Hamilton community since he obtained his degree from the School of Optometry in Waterloo in 1981. As a busy father of six boys, he has coached many local soccer teams and assisted in organized hockey. Over the years, he has developed a keen interest in sports vision and in the protection of children’s eyes during physical activities.
Many new issues involving computer related eye strain and ergonomics are common to patients today. A thorough eye examination is required to understand their visual needs and facilitate a solution to their workplace ocular issues. Dr. D’Ortenzio has worked in Hamilton’s industrial field as a student, so he’s aware of the many safety concerns with respect to eye protection in the work force.
Dr. D’Ortenzio’s practice ranges from preschool children to the elderly, and he enjoy’s the challenges of providing for all their individual eye care needs. He appreciates forming long lasting relationships with his established patients.
